Socialist Maurice Strong, the devisor of the idea of global warming and climate change, World Governance, and the intentional demise of the middle class, and sovereignty across the globe, has reportedly died at age 86. No one seems to know where he died. Maybe in China where he was given sanctuary after implication in Saddam Hussein’s Oil-for-Food scam. Through the United Nations, Strong endorsed a check in the amount of $988,885.00 made out to “M. Strong.” The check, issued by a Jordanian bank, was allegedly hand-delivered to him by South Korean business man, Tongsun Park. You remember that name, right? In 2005, Park was convicted in a US Federal court of conspiring to bribe UN officials. The $988.9K was a pittance compared to the fortune Strong made in the oil industry. Yet . . .yet, he devised the scheme of global warming that leaves millions either too cold, too hot, and/or without water:

The problem, the stumbling block was the UN Security Council (which effectively provides no “security” to anyone, anywhere in the world):

From the Quadrant article linked above, in 1989, Strong was appointed Secretary General of the Earth Summit. In Earth Summit II in Rio, he is quoted saying “…It is clear that current lifestyles and consumptions of the affluent middle class –– involving high meat intake, consumption of large amounts frozen and convenience foods, use of fossil fuels, appliances, home and work place air-conditioning, and suburbanhousing –– are not sustainable.”
To that, John Izzard replied:
“There goes the Sunday roast, a house to lie in, the car, the occasional hamburger and generally, life on earth as we know it.”
But what Strong didn’t tell the delegates was that he was involved in the purchase of the Colorado Land and Cattle company, which he bought from Adnan Khashoggi, an arms dealer who had strong connections with the Bin Laden Family. Source: John Izzard, Quadrant
After Oil-for-Food Maurice Strong stepped down from his United Nations position, but he remained active, behind the scenes, and was instrumental in Agenda 21: (More on Strong and Agenda 21 at Gulag Bound.)
Christiana Figueres, the current head of the U.N. climate agency, tweeted Saturday that “we thank Maurice Strong for his visionary impetus to our understanding of sustainability. We will miss you.”This is the same Christiana Figueres who sent out a press release in February saying that the environmental movement was not about the environment but it was to destroy capitalism, (LINK)

In addition to the treaty, there are the current Climate Change actions from now and until 2020, the financing packages and the so-called Intended National Determined Contributions (INDCs). These are the actions that countries intend to take under a global agreement from 2020 and have to be publicly outlined before the start of the conference. It is expected that all major economies will deliver their plans in time: the US, China, and the European Union have already shown their cards.

The same Maurice Strong has been hiding in China (with all their genuine pollution) to avoid being arrested in connection with the UN’s ‘Oil for Food’ program. He is suspected of taking bribes during that period.

If we want to ponder the past, here’s an issue at the root of this global war: What if Russia and France were not directly complicit, with Saddam Hussein, in what we refer to as the “Oil For Food Scandal.” Without their relationship with Saddam, they would have nothing to hide. With their appalling complicity, they had to hide everything. Both countries thought they could keep secret their repugnant behavior (be darned those who desperately needed “the food for the oil,”) because the U.S. would surely not go into Iraq without their approval. We did, and when we did, either the clouds cleared or the sky fell, depending on your perspective.
It is about the UN and its legitimacy. During the run-up to the Iraq war, George Bush’s opponents accused him of many misdeeds. Chief among them was “going to war without the UN.” But if, the UN was, in fact, Saddam’s enabler, if the UN Secretariat was effectively on Saddam’s payroll, if important people in major antiwar countries were likewise beholden to the Iraqi regime, then that casts a wholly different light on “unilateralism.”
Presumably, these outsized profits [from Oil for Food were subsequently used to bribe UN officials and others to support Saddam Hussein. Samir Vincent, the Iraqi—American businessman who has already plead guilty to illegally receiving money from Hussein and acting as his foreign agent without registering with appropriate authorities, has also been found to have been on the Board of Directors of Friendship Force International. This organization has been described as an offshoot of the Carter Center founded by ex—President Jimmy Carter. As is well—known, Jimmy Carter has consistently sided with dictators in North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, and Iraq to frustrate American foreign policy objectives.

From the moment the oil-for-food programme was introduced in 1996, Saddam concentrated all his energies on attempting to subvert it. The complex oil-for-food programme was introduced so that the profits from UN-supervised Iraqi oil sales would pay for essential healthcare supplies. The programme was conceived, it should be remembered, to counter the mounting effectiveness of the propaganda campaign of hard-Left activists such as George Galloway, the former Labour MP, who argued that the wide-ranging UN sanctions introduced following the Gulf war were responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent Iraqi children.
But as the ISG report clearly demonstrates, Saddam skilfully worked the system so that the profits were diverted to fund his regime rather than feed his people. An important element of this fraud was that a significant percentage of the funds was diverted to set up a voucher system that could be used to bribe a wide network of international politicians who could be counted upon to do Saddam’s bidding.. . .
Saddam’s clever manipulation of the voucher system was a brilliant success: it not only caused a deep split within the security council, it helped him to make irrelevant the much-vaunted policy of containment that was supposed to prevent him from re-emerging as a dominant force the the Middle East. It also enabled him to fund illicit imports of weapons and the technology needed to resume production of weapons of mass destruction, which was his declared aim once the sanctions had been lifted.
All of the above is a part of who the man, Maurice Strong was. A grossly unprincipled man who had already made his fortune in fossil fuels, and set about to bring down the middle class, because that’s how one controls the world.
